Get to know WordPress appearance and plugin entry, understand ZIP installation, enablement, origin, and compatibility.

Themes are like decoration, plugins are like adding devices

The theme (a set of documents that determine the look of the blog) is responsible for common layouts, colors, and content presentation. Plugins (a set of files that add functionality to websites) can provide forms, order records, payment instructions, and other capabilities. For example, "Change article cards to three columns" favors appearance, while "Record purchase emails and view in the backend" leans toward functionality. This is a distinction that's easy for beginners to understand, but it doesn't mean the two can never be involved with each other. Have the AI explain why a particular requirement is included in a theme or plugin, and whether the functionality will be affected when changing themes in the future.

Look for the two locations in the WordPress backend

Themes are usually managed under "Appearance → Themes," while plugins are usually managed under "Plugins." You can search for available components to install, or upload a qualified ZIP package. The specific button version and permissions may differ; please refer to the current interface. Installing (putting components in) and enabling (getting the website to start using them) are two actions. After uploading a theme, it may not have switched, and after installing plugins, it may still be disabled. Having it in the backend list does not mean the frontend is already active.

How to install AI-generated files

Please make this requirement into an installable WordPress theme or plugin ZIP. Explain which backend entry to upload, where to set it up after activation, and how to check it. Keep the currently available versions and articles, and do not put server keys, database passwords, or real buyer information in product packs.

During initial installation, have the AI check the compressed package directory, component names, versions, and dependencies (what else is needed to run). Do not upload theme packs or plugin packs to the opposite entrance.

Identify the source and authorization

Use official catalogs, trusted authors, or components you have created and checked yourself. Do not install unknown cracked versions on websites that have already received payments. Cheap or free does not mean you can freely resell all your assets; Images, fonts, icons, and software may have their own licenses. WordPress uses the GPL license. When creating commercial products, carefully handle the applicable licenses for the code and materials used, and do not assume that "using AI" automatically grants all rights. You can see the basic instructions for WordPress licenses Official page。

After activation, three things must be done

  • Check the front page: Check for obvious misalignment or inability to open under the homepage, article pages, or phone width.
  • Check the backend: whether the settings entry appears, and whether the settings are saved and effective after modification.
  • Functions: buttons, forms, purchase records, etc., try out the promised process once in practice.

The theme looks normal and does not prove that the plugin received the email; If a settings item appears on the plugin page, it also cannot prove that payment has been completed.

What to do before switching or updating

First, back up the affected files and databases, and clearly specify the scope of this update. Do not casually overwrite core files in the backend editor, nor use ten unfamiliar plugins simultaneously to troubleshoot errors. When conflicts occur, the error and current state are preserved, allowing the AI to decide whether to disable the current component or restore an older version. Note that some function data is stored in the database; disabling plugins and deleting their data are not the same thing. Read the component description carefully before operating.

The minimum standard he could clearly say

"Change appearances to remove the theme and add features by plugins; After uploading, you need to enable it and confirm actual use. "If you know this sentence, you can continue to let AI be a very small paid component."
