Website documentation and deployment: Once AI is written, how to place it on the website

Distinguish between files, public pages, server directories, and compressed files on your computer. After generating the code, installation and actual inspection are also required.

What is a file, what is a directory?

Files can be article images, program code, or explanatory text. A directory (folder) is used to put files together. Code (the text that tells the computer to follow the steps) is also part of the file content, but not all text files can be directly converted into accessible websites. Your own computer, AI job directory, and remote server are all in different locations. AI sends you a piece of code, which only shows it wrote content; You also need to install the correct files in the right place and connect them to the operating environment before visitors can use them.

The website address and the server path are two different types of addresses

The website address (used by browsers to access the page) can be https://example.com/。服务器路径（某个文件在远程电脑里的位置）可能形如 /www/wwwroot/example.com/. The latter is just a common demonstration and not a fixed position for every machine. In the Baota website settings, you can usually find the root directory (the starting location of the site's files). Let AI read the actual settings before operating; don't overwrite the path in another tutorial. Folders from multiple websites may be placed next to each other, and even if names are similar, you need to check.

Which files in WordPress have different uses

• WordPress ontology file: The website program itself needs to be kept intact.
• wp-content/themes: The commonly used theme directory, where the file package for controlling the appearance is placed.
• wp-content/plugins: Common plugin directory, where files with added features are placed.
• wp-content/uploads: usually stores uploaded images and attachments.
• wp-config.php: Website configuration files may contain private information such as database connections and cannot be included in publicly available downloadable products.

These names help you recognize the location, rather than having you manually alter all the files. Article titles and body text often involve databases; copying only website folders does not guarantee copying all content.

How to understand a ZIP bag

ZIP (a compressed file that bundles multiple files together) is like putting data into a bag. WordPress themes or plugins are often delivered in ZIP, but you can't just fit any HTML page into a ZIP to install it. The directory structure, theme description, or plugin identifiers in the bag must meet WordPress requirements. If the installation fails, send the error to AI and let it check the package structure and purpose. Don't upload the entire server to the buyer.

Let AI complete deployment, not just generate code

Deployment (placing the written program in a place where it can be used and configuring it to run) should at least clarify: which site to install on, which directory to place, how to enable it, and which website to use for checking.

This program will be used on my existing WordPress website. Please first confirm the target website and directory, back up the affected files, and turn them into installable themes or plugins to complete the installation and activation. Do not overwrite existing articles, upload images, or other websites. Finally, give me the access link and verification steps.

If the AI provides a standalone webpage, let it explain how it integrates with WordPress and whether content is still managed by the backend. Don't assume a beautiful preview is already a formal blog.

What to check after deployment

Confirm the file location on the server; Confirm that the component is enabled in the WordPress backend; Open the real public address test button, forms, and backend settings. Successful installation only means the program has been recognized; whether the promise is fulfilled depends on actual use. When blanks or errors appear, the error information is first retained and restored to a usable version before the AI locates it. Do not repeatedly extract multiple versions from the same directory and mix new and old files together.
