Recognize titles, drafts, publish and preview, distinguish articles from fixed pages, and check that the homepage shows actual content.

The title is the name of this article

There's no need to think too much about the article's title. Writing "My First Website Creation Record" is like naming an essay. Main text (what you really want to say under the title) Writing process, supplementary illustrations. Visitors first judge if they are interested by looking at the title, then click in to read the main text. Articles in the WordPress backend are usually suitable for continuously updated content. Pages (relatively fixed introductions or descriptions) are suitable for "About Me," "Contact Information," "Purchase Instructions," etc. Categories (sections that group similar articles together) and tags (small markings for content) help readers find them.

What are drafts, previews, and publishes?

  • Draft: Saved, but not officially released yet; can continue to be revised.
  • Preview: First, look at what the content looks like; that doesn't mean visitors can already access it.
  • Publish: Set the content to the website by visibility.
  • Update: After updating published content, save the new version.

The editing interface may offer options such as privacy or password protection; When preparing tutorials for everyone to read, clearly check actual visibility and do not judge based on the screen you are logged in.

The first release is in this order

Start with the title and main text, then add suitable images and select categories. Check for typos, links, images, and citation sources; Use the preview to see if it can be read on computer and phone widths. Finally, click publish and copy the real public link. For images, you can first use a name that's easy to distinguish and add alternative text (a brief description when the image is not visible or when using a screen reader). Uploading oversized original images takes up space and affects loading, so let AI handle size and compression while preserving the original files you need.

When AI writes articles, clearly state the sources of facts

Based on the website building records I provided, write an article suitable for beginners. Terms are explained in parentheses, without fabricating what I have done. Save it as a draft first, tell me the backend location and preview address; I will publish within the authorized scope after confirming. The homepage list uses real published articles; do not rigidly write fake titles or fake dates.

AI can help you organize text, but experiences like "I personally tested it" or "someone bought it" need to be based on reality. Community content is shared by members sharing experiences, without the need to pretend to be a forum or fabricate the number of interactions.

Why do you have articles in the backend but not on the homepage?

It could be that the article is still a draft, the homepage only displays a certain category, the homepage uses fixed pages, or there is cache (temporarily retained old pages). Let AI check the specific display rules, and don't create a new article to try your luck. When modifying a theme, the homepage should read from the real WordPress content, with the title, summary, images, and links all corresponding to the same article. Beautiful cards contain fixed sample text, which cannot replace real content management.

How do you confirm a successful release?

Exit or open the incognito window, open the public link to the article, then return to the homepage to find it; Click the card to enter and check if the title, body, and image match. Try modifying a sentence in the main text and updating it, then check the changes on the public page. Before deleting an article or media, check if other pages are citing it. Deleting images from the media library may cause old articles to appear empty; When unsure about the purpose, let the AI check associations first; do not batch clear the data.

A small exercise

Publish a website note consisting of three paragraphs of text and one image. Ask the AI to help you explain which section it is in, what the front-end link is, and how to turn it into a draft. If you can complete publishing and reviewing, you already manage the most basic blog content.

Once you've learned it, give it a try.
