Skills Reusable task capability packs
Organize task descriptions, steps, and resources into capability packages that agents can reuse.
Skills are used to organize the working methods of certain types of tasks. The Agent Skills open format is based on a directory containing SKILL.md, which can also include scripts, reference documents, templates, and other resources.
Agents can first learn the name and purpose of the capability pack, then read the full description when matching tasks. Providing knowledge on demand helps reuse existing experience while avoiding loading large amounts of irrelevant content each time.
The value of the capability package comes from clear scope, steps, and inspection methods. It does not make the model naturally correct nor replace permission management; Operations involving external systems must still comply with the corresponding authorization boundaries.
Relationship with the Baiyun community
Explaining the best path to others can also be implemented as a reusable capability package. Baiyun hopes to share methods that have been realistically validated, making it easier for future generations to understand, try, and improve.
